Redesigned for Your Enjoyment
By the clever use of planting, we can make your garden look beautiful without rebuilding it
About Me…
Hi, my name is Natasha Ridley.
I have over 30 years of experience in horticulture. I am RHS trained and have worked for the Royal Household at Buckingham Palace, the National Trust, and more recently as Head Gardener at a 4-acre Private Garden in Surrey for 7 years.
I started Ginkgo Consultancy in response to the considerable gap between the ‘mans with vans, mowers, and blowers’ and complete garden transformations which will invariably cost you tens of thousands of pounds.
It is my mission to bring you soft landscaping solutions that will enhance your garden the way you’ve always dreamed of without breaking the bank.
This will be achieved by enriching your garden with clever use of new plants in existing areas, and/or the creation of new flower beds rather than the installation of hard landscaping elements, ie. paths, raised beds, etc.
The use of a garden evolves throughout a lifetime so your outdoor space should be able to serve those ever changing needs.
Testimonials
“I have very little experience with plants and what would work best but Tash was extremely knowledgeable and gave me lots of ideas and options. She was able to suggest different alternatives depending on how much time I felt I would have for on going maintenance
She is also happy to work within a budget and come up with different cost alternatives; and make sensible suggestions; for example, delay planting until the Autumn so that plants have the best chance of surviving.
Following our meeting, Tash produced a detailed plan of what we had discussed, what to plant where, considering different colours and sunlight. There was also a really good section on aftercare. I liked that she always kept in mind the whole picture and considered how different areas of the garden would flow into each other.
I would really recommend Tash - apart from her extensive knowledge of plants; she is really friendly and easy to get on with and is happy to work with the client to explore different ideas.”

“Tasha was very professional and came around and spent lots of time to fully understand likes and dislikes as well as ideas that we had. She also showed us that some plants we already had could be moved for better effect.
A few days later I received a folder with sketches of some of the ideas we discussed as well as pictures and lists of plants and flowers that would work in my garden and with the soil I have.
I was very impressed and happy with the ideas she has given me and she has offered further advice if needed once we start planting.
Thank you for all the time you have spent with us, I would happily recommend this service to anyone who needs some help in getting started in creating a garden they are delighted with.”

We are delighted to vouch for Tash’s gardening expertise – for over a 7-year period, Tash looked after our 3-acre garden which included many flower beds and herbaceous borders, over 300 trees and a vegetable garden. As well as maintaining the structure of the garden to the highest standard, Tash transformed the beds with her delicate touch and expert eye. Every spring Tash delivered a beautiful display of flowers and colour in the various beds around the garden. Tash was also keen to maintain the garden in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way – garden waste was recycled as far as possible and alternative solutions adopted instead of the use of harsh chemicals. We have no hesitation in recommending Tash as a wonderful gardener.

Natasha Ridley helped my wife and I transform our garden from what was frankly a mess to a really lovely collection of plants and shrubs ready for this summer and provided design ideas which will hopefully keep us going for many years. In addition to knowing which plants will work where, Natasha help us with catenaries (our garden is on quite a slope and creepers to create height) . Natasha was a delight to work with- thoughtful, engaging and always provided new ideas for my wife and I to consider. Natasha was also able to literally dig in , removing old shrubs and moving earth to setup the redesign.
We would both recommend Natasha without reservation.

Tasha has been an absolute star, I have had delays on my build which then delayed my garden plans.
Tasha was so patient and drew up a great design which incorporated my plants which had been placed in pots.
I highly recommend Tasha and her designs
